Graphic Novel Review: Saga Vol. 3 by Brian Vaughan

Title: Saga Vol. 3
Author: Brian K. Vaughan
Art by: Fiona Staples
Published: 2014
Genre: Graphic Novel

Synopsis: Saga is the sweeping tale of one young family fighting to find their place in the universe. Searching for their literary hero, new parents Marko and Alana travel to a cosmic lighthouse on the planet Quietus, while the couple’s multiple pursuers finally close in on their targets.

My Rating: red-starred-starred-starred-starred-star

A definite improvement from Volume 2, Volume 3 follows all of our faves as we move towards the point where Vol 2 ended. So basically we’re going back in time to where we were at the end of Vol 2.

I was a little sad because I’m starting to see cracks in Alana and Marcos relationship, they still clearly love one another but I can see that they might not get a happy ending which makes me incredibly sad because they’re OTP material. Another OTP material? The Will and Gwendolyn – ship it hard. So much happened in this volume yet not a lot because our characters were basically stationary. I also love the addition to the reporters because I have a feeling they will be the ones who will expose the story to the universe.

Overall? Saga continues to reign supreme as my favorite Graphic Novel series. If you’ve not picked them up, please do – now they’re available in Hoopla which is free with your library membership. This is not sponsored, I’m just telling you it’s awesome to read them for free 🙂
