Synopsis: Jo, April, Mal, Molly, and Ripley are not your average campers and Miss Qiunzella Thiskwin Penniquiqul Thistle Crumpet’s Camp for Hardcore Lady-Types is not your average summer camp. Between the river monsters, magic, and the art of friendship bracelets, this summer is only just beginning. Join the Lumberjanes as they take on raptors and a sibling rivalry that only myths are made of.

My Rating: red-starred-starred-star 1/2

Another very cute installment to the Lumberjanes series. These series are specifically aimed at younger readers and they really do deliver on the quirkiness and off the wall situations that would greatly amuse kids and adults.

In this installment we focus on the Greek Myths and of course everything happens around this girl’s camp. There’s some hilarious jokes, super cute moments between our favorite lesbian couple Mal and Molly but above all the female friendship aspect continues to be the sole focus of the stories and it’s perfection.

All the girls bring something to the table along with their counselor and my personal favorite character, Jen. I want to continue reading these because it’s such a light fluffy read and it never gets boring. I don’t think it could be boring even if it tried.
